Question: I have a lot of pictures for an online image gallery but it will be too much work to create thumbnails. Is there a program that will allow me to create thumbnails quickly?

Believe it or not, there are actually several freeware and shareware programs that allow you to generate thumbnails on the fly. One of the best ones that Webdesigner-Freebies found was Web Page Generator (see below). It not only makes thumbnails, but generates html pages for each of the images that you thumbnail and creates an album type gallery, complete with "back/forward" links and a dropdown box.

Of course, if it doesn't suit your needs, you could always do a search at the major downloading sites, like Downloads.com or Tucows. However, Webdesigner-Freebies thinks that Web Page Generator is just what anyone needs to make thumbnails.
