Question: I want to protect my images from being swiped. How can
I do this?
The protection of images is a popular request on the web. As a result,
many methods were created to prevent image theft, such as the ever-widespread
no
right click script, which you can find at Dynamic Drive.com(see
below). The script causes an alert box to pop up, preventing anyone
from right-clicking and saving your images to their hard drive.
Although this script works in preventing right clicking, it can't prevent
theft entirely; all a very determined person has to do is just create a
screenshot. Because of that possibility, some people have resorted to watermarking
(placing a faint, ghost-like copyright notice) in the corner of their pics.
This method still isn't failsafe, but it can slow thieves in their tracks.
